See The 2026 Creative Arts Emmy Nominations In Costume, Makeup, Hair & Production Design

This year's Creative Arts Emmy nominations saw "Fallout" pick up five nominations in the categories of costume, makeup, hair, and production design, while "Hacks," "Palm Royale," "Wednesday," and "The Gilded Age" all got four nods.
The nominations for the 2026 Primetime Creative Arts Emmys were announced Wednesday, July 8, alongside the nominations for the 78th Primetime Emmys. For the uninitiated, the two awards—both as chosen by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences—honor different things: the Creative Arts Emmys recognize the best in artistic and technical achievement in American television across categories such as costumes, makeup, hair, and production design (our bread and butter here at The Set Set), alongside sound, stunts, cinematography, casting, and title design. Meanwhile, the Primetime Emmys honor the best in American programming overall and hand out awards to actors, producers, writers, and directors.
Though it flies more under the radar, the Creative Arts ceremony is actually where the majority of Emmy trophies are handed out. This year, it will take place across two nights on Saturday, September 5, and Sunday, September 6, just over a week before the 78th Primetime Emmys ceremony on Monday, September 14.
Check out a list of the Creative Arts Emmy nominations below.
