The Costume Designers Guild Awards announced its film and television nominees for the 2026 award ceremony in Los Angeles.

On December 12, the Costume Designers Guild Awards announced its film and television nominees for the union’s 28th annual award ceremony. In keeping with last year's format, the award ceremony will be divided into nine categories, separated by genre: Contemporary, Period, and Sci-Fi/Fantasy. This year’s list of nominees includes a diverse range of styles, spanning from Julian Day’s suave racecar ensembles in “F1,” spotlighting contemporary designers from Sunspel to Tommy Hilfiger, to Kate Hawley’s stunning and symbolic gowns in “Frankenstein.” On the television front, Edward K. Gibbon received a nomination for his period costumes on episode four of “House of Guinness,” and Kameron Lennox received a nomination for her contemporary, mid-century outfits on episode nine of “The Studio.” Prior to the award ceremony, we recommend that you check out Malgosia Turzanska’s conversation with The Set Set about Elizabethan fashion in “Hamnet” and Jennifer Johnson’s exclusive analysis of her costume work in “Bugonia.”

The winners of the CDG Awards ceremony will be announced on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at a female-founded non-profit right off Wilshire Boulevard, the Ebell of Los Angeles.
