Edward K. Gibbon is a BAFTA Award-winning costume designer whose career has spanned theater, television, and film. Lauded for his nuanced approach to costume design, where clothing reveals intimate aspects of a character’s identity and development, his breakthrough came in 2007 with the hit British series “Skins,” for which he was lead costume designer on all five seasons as well as for the American adaptation. Since then, he has continued to design costumes for hit series, including Netflix’s “House of Guinness” and season two of “The Diplomat, BBC’s “The Honourable Woman,” for which he was nominated for an RTS Craft Award, ITV’s “The Sound of Music Live,” which won the Entertainment Craft Team BAFTA Award, and “The Luminaries,” for which he won Best Costume Design at the NZ TV Awards 2020. On the big screen, his work can be seen in films such as “The Lost Daughter” with Maggie Gyllenhaal, “London Road” starring Tom Hardy and Olivia Colman, and “Second Coming” starring Idris Elba.
