Nana Fischer

Nana Fischer grew up backstage, where her mother worked in theatre, and quickly developed a passion for the arts. Fascinated by how texture, shape, and colour could transform a story, she went on to train at Shiseido in Tokyo before moving to London, where she worked in a salon. Her film career began on Troy (2004), where her speed and precision impressed producers. Since then, Nana has become a trusted name in film and television, with credits spanning Oscar-winning dramas, comedies, musicals, sci-fi, fantasy, and period pieces. She has headed makeup departments on films including" Ad Astra," "The Lost City of Z," and "A Big Bold Beautiful Journey." Nana is also known for her long-time collaboration with Michael Fassbender, designing memorable looks for him in "Macbeth," "Twelve Years a Slave," "The Light Between Oceans," "The Counselor," and Ridley Scott’s "Prometheus."
