
Miguel López-Castillo

Miguel López-Castillo was born in Mexico City to a family that was operatic both in training and temperament. After beginning his studies at Parsons School of Design in New York, he then received an MFA in Set Design at Tisch School of the Arts. In a career spanning over 25 years, López-Castillo has worked in theater and opera for important designers and directors such as George Tsypin, Neil Jampolis, Peter Sellars, Francesca Zambello, and Pierre Audi. He developed a strong and artistic film sensibility working as an art director with Jeannine Oppewall, David Gropman, Mark Friedberg, Bob Shaw, and Howard Cummings. Nominated for multiple Art Directors Guild and Emmy awards, he was on the winning teams for "Catch Me If You Can" and "Mr Robot," season 2.
