'Nobody Wants This' Returns With Another Season of Covetable (and Relatable) Clothes
Fashion
Two families, polar styles, and everything we need for fall.
Netflix’s rom-com series “Nobody Wants This” returns for its much-anticipated second season. The show follows the lives and love affairs of podcasters and sisterly duo Joanne (Kristen Bell) and Morgan (Justine Lupe), the former of whom meets handsome rabbi Noah (Adam Brody) and quickly falls head over heels for him. Like the first season, this second installment is an emotional rollercoaster that wins over our hearts, with a wardrobe we’ve been hunting down and trying to copy ever since.
Dressed by costume designer Negar Ali-Kline and written and produced by sisters Erin and Sara Foster — owners of womenswear fashion label Favorite Daughter — fans can peruse the Nobody Wants This collection on the brand's website, which features fashion merch inspired by the show. On screen, however, we see a few brands on repeat throughout season two, such as Guest In Residence and SPRWMN, no doubt weaving in Foster’s collaborative influence with Ali-Kline.

Below, we explore these brands, as well as the key styles, color palettes, and textures that epitomize each character — from (a lot) of stripes, graphic tees, and tactile knits, to iconic handbags and failsafe denim — and provide the ultimate shopping guide for you to replicate their looks.
Joanne (Kristen Bell)
For Joanne, every last detail of her wardrobe is considered. “She’s very intentional in the way that she presents herself,” Ali-Kline explained in her conversation with Foster. “She has very high emotional intelligence in the way that she interacts with her environments, and she can use her style, as we all do, as a tool to say what she wants to say without having to say it.” Ali-Kline styles Joanne in a mix of high street and high-end pieces, and throughout season two, we see casual yet rich, everyday outfits. Iterations of “jeans and a nice top” come in the form of varying shades of the viral Zara Marine wide leg jeans paired with stylish basics (striped tees seem to be a theme) and pastel knitwear. This, juxtaposed with lumberjack shirts and rugby tops (possibly plucked from new boyfriend Noah’s wardrobe), paired with balloon pants and chinos with Adidas Samba sneakers.
As for accessories, Joanne’s bag selection is sure to catch the attention of any connoisseur: from the woven blue Clare V Moyen Bag to the Mansur Gavriel Gaia bag in the tomato red "Flamma" colorway. We expected nothing less from the costume designer who provided us with the By Far bags in season one. Plus, a trusty statement belt elevates ensembles, whether it’s a classic Dehanche Hollyhock leather belt or the Khaite studded belt worn with a bright teal blue tee and jeans, a key color that has followed through from season one, harking back to the cerulean Alex Perry strapless dress in the final episode.

Morgan (Justine Lupe)
Morgan’s character has a bolder approach to style, in line with her more eccentric life choices. Suggestions of her being inappropriately dressed arise throughout the season, from when she wears hot pants to Joanne and Noah’s first dinner party as a couple in episode one, to a black mini dress and knee-high boots at a baby-naming ceremony. Hot pants are styled with a silky Johanna Ortiz shirt and a faux fur coat — a sensual and luxe look, which is matched by Esther (Jackie Tohn), who wears a sheer, maroon split-sleeve blouse and coordinating silky skirt.
Day-to-day, Morgan’s style reflects a confident and stylish LA woman: graphic tees and vintage denim, a striped polo dress or leopard jeans with a black tank top. In episode two, the sisters attend the Roklov brothers' basketball game. Justine arrives in a GUEST IN RESIDENCE Argyle knit vest, Wales Bonner Shine Track Pants, and New Balance 530 sneakers, while Joanne opts for a more feminine look, wearing the ‘pagoda green’ &Daughter Ada Crewneck Cardigan, a denim skirt, striped tee, and tan relaxed boots.

Esther (Jackie Tohn)
The unapologetic multitasker and a foil to Joanne and Morgan, it should come as no surprise that Esther has nailed the whole cool mom-off-duty uniform — casual, yet decisively styled by combining everyday, easy-to-wear items with chic accessories or an unexpected print. She sits courtside at Sasha's basketball game in jeans and a leopard print SPRWMN Baby Cardigan, with slip-on sandals and a Ba&sh June Clutch. Her coral Reiss Anessa Dress feels effortless in its simplicity, but in a color and fabric that make it feel elevated.

Noah (Adam Brody) & Sasha (Timothy Simons)
As we turn our attention to the Roklov brothers, we notice a disparity in style: Noah (Adam Brody) tends to lean towards stylish, reliable staples — soft knits such as a Universal Works Langdale Argyll Cardigan or Beams Plus Knit Polo Stripe Argyle and tweed jackets in warm, autumnal colors, tonal pairings of pants, and smart-casual shoes that have a considered, yet one-for-all feel to them. ‘We don’t use any synthetic fabrics with him — everything is wool, cotton, and linen,’ Ali-Kline says to Foster.
Both brothers often wear tactile clothing — Noah in soft cashmere to accompany his silk tallit, Sasha going for garish chunky knits or fluffy mohair styles — and you get a sense of their character's warmth and comforting aura. Noah’s style is slightly more colorful than in season one, incorporating shades of pastel blues and greens, a subtle merging of worlds into Joanne’s palette. Sasha has an impressive sweater repertoire throughout both seasons, which he mixes with streetwear — pastel hoodies and sweatpants with a Palm Springs cap and a baseball jacket, showcasing a laid back attire, styled with intention.
Stellar cast appearances throughout the season mean even more fashion statements arise: Rabbi Neil (Seth Rogan), a progressive rabbi who provides Noah with a potential new position at his own Temple enters wearing a psychedelic knit, paired with a Greg Lauren patchwork jacket, Abby (Leighton Meester) wears a Chanel Spring/Summer 2024 Look for her baby-naming ceremony and Ashley (Sherry Cola) in a Nanunshka coord. We can’t wait for you to watch and see them all for yourself.
